Here is a special interview with WWE Superstar Xavier Woods, WWE Diva Eva Marie and your Host of My iZonOrlando – Elan at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando talking about the Special Olympics – Team Florida training day.
Team Florida was comprised of 128 athletes who represented the Sunshine State at the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games. Athletes were from throughout the state and competed in aquatics (swimming), basketball, bocce, bowling, cycling, golf, power-lifting, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.
WWE is a Founding Partner of the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games, a national sporting event that took place in New Jersey June 14-21, 2014 where nearly 3,500 athletes competed in 16 Olympic-style team and individual sports, with the support of 1,000 coaches, 10,000 volunteers and an anticipated 70,000 spectators.
The 2014 USA Games celebrated the Special Olympics movement, promoted the ideals of acceptance and inclusion through sport and showcased the abilities of athletes
with intellectual disabilities.
