Gibson Tour Bus Stops at the Orlando Science Center

Good news music fans, the Gibson Tour Bus will pull into the Orlando Science Center this weekend as part of the continued celebration for “GUITAR: The Instrument That Rocked the World.” The bus features Gibson guitars from Paul McCartney, Slash, U2 and more. Tours of small groups (5-8 people) will be scheduled throughout the day. It also features several interactive guitar areas, including the “Rock room,” plus check out the customized Gibson guitar coffee table and much more.
This world premiere exhibit explores the history and science of the guitar and shows how the instrument became the cultural symbol it is today. Check out interactives on the science of sound surrounded by dozens of classic guitars, including the Gibson Firebird played by rock legend Johnny Winter and Vic Flick’s Essex Paragon used to create the memorable “James Bond” theme.
It takes place from Friday, September 2 to Monday, September 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Orlando Science Center located at 777 East Princeton Street, Orlando, FL 32803. Access to the Gibson Tour Bus is included with general admission to the Science Center. General admission is $17 for adults, $12 for youth ages 3 to 11. General admission includes access to all floors of the Science Center’s exhibits, live programs and giant screen films, including the guitar exhibit, Science Park, DinoDigs and much more.
