Orlando Science Center: Cocktails and Cosmos goes to ‘Arabia’

Saturday’s Cocktail and Cosmos event at the Orlando Science Center will feature a Middle Eastern theme and the debut of the film “Arabia.”  Among the highlights are:

– The film, narrated by Helen Mirren, covers 21 centuries of Arabia history. Film student Hamzah Jamjoom goes on a cross-country trek that includes a camel caravan, the reefs of the Red Sea, lost city tombs and more.  The film includes contemporary scenes and historic re-creations.

– Jamjoom will be at the Saturday’s premiere to introduce the film and answer audience questions at screenings at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

– Also on the scene will be an Arabic DJ, a henna tattoo artist, bellydancers, Arabian music and food plus Gus, a real kissing camel.
