The Health Council of East Central Florida plans to launch a community-based, one-stop-shop for online health news and information in the first quarter of 2012.
The website, East Central Florida Measures, is designed to be a central resource for health care organizations, community leaders and the public. It will track data on more than 100 subjects real time, such as diabetes and HIV rates in Central Florida. The site will also monitor other factors that impact health, including environmental factors such as air and water quality, educational and economic factors such as unemployment that contribute to community health.
The website will be used to identify areas where Central Florida has a community health need and develop plans to address the needs.
