Taste of the Nation helps Central Florida hunger relief efforts

July 8, 2011, 6:48 am

Good News, Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation has set a date and venue. The Marriott World Center located at 8701 World Center Drive in Orlando will be the place for dinner 6:45-10 p.m. on Aug. 6. The calories are somewhat guiltless for the 22nd anniversary of this lavish affair. All of the money raised stays in Florida will go in support of agencies such as the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and Florida Impact, an organization that has been trying to make Florida hunger- and poverty-free for 30 years. General admission is $100 and VIP tickets are $150.
