The exciting restaurant and arcade Dave & Busters has made its way to Orlando. The new 40,236-square-foot facility at the former site of Race Rock Restaurants on I-Drive is the first in all of Central Florida, but likely will draw not only tourists familiar with the concept from other cities, but also locals who haven’t yet had a chance to experience the unique and exciting combination of games, drinks and food.
The new Orlando edition of D&B, with its second-story facility sitting above a parking garage, is a new design for the chain of nearly 60 locations in the U.S. and Canada. The entertainment part of the complex offers more than 170 games that are both simulators, such as realistic driving and shooting games, and redemption style, where high scores result in more tickets that can be traded in for toys and candy. Last year the company had more than 4.6 billion tickets redeemed at all of its locations and some people even save up to trade them in for electronics including X-Box and Playstation and iPods.
