Orlando Hotel Occupancy Increased in May

Smith Travel Research revealed that the metro Orlando hotel occupancy rate for May reached 63.5 percent, which was up from 58.4 percent for the same month last year. The average daily room rate charged per room in the area was $92.71. It is a 7.2 percent increase in room rates from $86.47 charged per room in 2010. Revenue per available room increased 16.5 percent to $58.87 compared to $50.54 reported for May of last year.
