A Palm Bay company is working on the blueprint of an electric jet. If successful, the project has the potential to add 50 to 100 employees during the next two years. Advanced Lab Magnet received a $900,000 grant from NASA to develop a computer model to tell the agency how to build electric motors and generators small yet powerful enough to drive the jet’s turbofans. NASA’s overall goal is to reduce fuel consumption and pollution emissions.
