Downtown Disney will have an eventful fall season due to the construction of a new 50,000-square-foot bowling, billiards, dining and nightlife entertainment center. The addition, dubbed Splitsville, will be located in Downtown Disney’s West Side where RideMakerz currently is. RideMakerz will be moved to the Marketplace area of Downtown Disney.
In addition to Downtown Disney, the major renovation to Pleasure Island titled “Hyperion Wharf” has been put on hold for evaluation after many of the buildings there were removed. This project was slated to provide Pleasure Island with a stylish boutique, innovative restaurant and lakeside park makeover, as well as create 600 construction jobs and 600 permanent retail, restaurant and supplier jobs.
