United Arts Tops its 2011 Campaign Goal

United Arts of Central Florida proudly announced on Wednesday at its annual meeting that it has successfully raised $2,824,007 for its 2011 campaign. This number is approximately $2,323 over its target goal. Of the campaign contributions, 52.6 percent of the total came from 3,149 individuals, followed by 27.5 percent from 138 corporate donors and 19.9 percent from 38 foundation donors.
“There is no question, the arts matter to business,” said Margot H. Knight, president and CEO of United Arts of Central Florida. “A thriving cultural community helps retain new business as well as excellent talent. In this day and age, a community needs to be cool. The arts are cool.”
