Dr. Phillips Charities Awards $176,000 in Grants

Junior Achievement of Central Florida has received more than $176,000 in grants and pledges from the Dr. Phillips Charities in the first quarter.  They graciously received $75,000 to expand its financial literacy teaching program in Title 1, non-Title 1, and career and technical schools in Orange and Seminole counties. 2011 is also a milestone year for Junior Achievement, it marks its 50th anniversary in Central Florida. To celebrate this milestone, Dr. Phillips Charities also pledged an additional $25,000 dollar for dollar fundraising match to help with Junior Achievement’s efforts to secure new individual investors.
