SeaWorld safety hearings postponed

Court hearings in SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment’s appeal regarding the February 2010 death of a killer-whale trainer have been pushed off for another five months. The hearing was postponed by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission An administrative until September 19th. They had originally been scheduled to begin April 25. SeaWorld is contesting a citation issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, which last year cited the company with a willful safety violation. This all followed the death of SeaWorld Orlando trainer Dawn Brancheau, who was killed by a six-ton killer whale.
