Magic eliminated from playoffs

Turn out the lights, the party is over. Well at least it is for the Orlando Magic as they were eliminated from the playoffs Thursday night by the Atlanta Hawks. The deciding game 6 was won 84-81 by Atlanta and was largely controlled by Joe Johnson who scored 23 points but more importantly pulled down an offensive rebound in the final seconds that essentially decided the game. The Hawks, who won the series 4-2, advanced to the second round for the third straight year, this time against top-seeded Chicago. Two years removed from the NBA finals the Magic seem to have taken steps backwards this post-season and now have many questions to answer this upcoming offseason. The most important of these questions involve star center Dwight Howard, who will enter the final year of his contract next season.
