Magic fall to Trail-Blazers without Howard

If we learned one thing from from Monday night’s game it’s that when Dwight Howard is out of the Magic lineup, they are a totally different team. They seemed very uncomfortable throughout the game, with atrocious ball handling being their main folly. When the night was over, Orlando committed 19 turnovers and lost on their home court 89-85. Playing without their superstar center, the Magic allowed a golden opportunity to slip away. “We were a little bit better than them in every area, but we had 19 turnovers and they had nine,” coach Stan Van Gundy said. “Ballgame. In everything else, we played fine. We can’t take care of the ball? Ballgame.” Howard was forced to sit out Monday’s game because he received his 16th technical foul of the season a couple of days earlier. In the NBA, a player receives an automatic one-game suspension when he accumulates 16 techs in a season.
