SUV crash kills 2, injures 3

It was just before 11 AM Tuesday morning when an SUV rolled over and caught on fire in DeBary on the 700 block of Fort Florida Road. Two people were killed and three others were injured in the accident. According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s office, the SUV was traveling westbound when the driver lost control of the vehicle causing it to rollover and burst into flames. One man in the car died at the scene of the accident, while the second victim was transported to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach where he later died.

Three others passengers are currently being treated for various injuries. The driver was transported to Halifax Health Medical Center, another passenger was taken to Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, while yet another passenger was transported to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford. The cause of the accident is still under official investigation.
