SeaWorld Parks officials have decided that their trainers will soon be back in the water with killer whales for the first time since Tilkium, the six ton orca dragged trainer Dawn Branchbeau into the water and killed her last february. The park has announced that trainers at its three U.S. marine parks will begin limited water work with whales in the upcoming months. At first, the interactions will be restricted to small medical pools equipped with false bottom floors that can be lifted up out of the water. It also says it plans to spend tens of millions of dollars on safety upgrades at its Orlando, San Diego and San Antonio locations.
