33 year old Leon Davis Jr. has been convicted in association with the deaths of two women he doused with gasoline and then set on fire during a robbery. Davis, a Central Florida native was found guilty Tuesday of three counts of first degree murder. Prosecutors say Davis attempted to rob a Lake Wales insurance office in December of 2007. During the robbery he poured gasoline over employees Yvonne Bustamante and Juanita Luciano and set them both on fire. Sadly, the 26 year old Bustamante and 23 year old Luciano later died from the burns, along with Luciano’s newborn son, who was born prematurely after the attack. The jurors will reconvene later on this week to recommend whether life sentence or the death penalty is in order. A judge will make the final decision.
