Friday morning weather

February 18, 2011, 8:38 am

Friday morning is expected to be much of the same. Early morning fog is expected to settle over much of Central Florida on Friday with visibility being limited until about 9AM. Tony Cristaldi, a forecaster for the National Weather Service in Melbourne said the fog is caused by high pressure system that calm overnight winds. Drivers have likely already noticed the effects of the pressure system on Thursday when a thick fog slowed morning traffic throughout most of Central Florida. Forecasters have also issued a hazardous weather outlook for Lake Volusia, Seminole, Orange and Osceola counties due to the foggy conditions. The fog is expected throughout the holiday weekend,  but will be most prevalent at night and in the early morning hours. Cristaldi said it is difficult to predict just how thick the fog will be.
