Legoland has announced that it will hire up to 1,000 people for its Central Florida theme park opening scheduled  for October. Spokeswoman Jackie Wallace said that the hired employees will start in June so they can be trained and ready for when the park is expected to open. The positions that are available are admissions, ride maintenance and back office workers. Wallace did not give specifics but said pay and benefits will be competitive with other area theme parks such as Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World. The jobs will be posted online at www.LEGOLAND.com/jobs. Applications are accepted only through the site.
